WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST BOTOX TREATMENT
If you are considering BOTOX for the first time, you are probably wondering what to expect.
Before your BOTOX treatment: During your initial consultation, your specialist will talk to you about your medical history and the medications you take. She will also discuss which areas you wish to have treated and answer all of your questions.
The treatment: The treatment areas will be cleansed and marked. With a micro-needle, our expert injector will carefully inject BOTOX into the correct muscles, and in the right quantity. The whole procedure only takes about 20 minutes.
After BOTOX treatment: There is no downtime after treatment. You have some rules to follow on the first day to ensure your results are excellent:
- Do not lie down for four hours after treatment
- Do not rub or scratch the treated areas
- Wait 24 hours before exercising
- Avoid excessive heat or cold for 24 hours
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
You can expect to see results the smoothing effect to appear within two to four days. The maximum BOTOX effect will be visible in about 10 to 14 days. The smoothing effect lasts for about three to four months before retreatment is needed.

Jeuveau
WHAT IS JEUVEAU?
Jeuveau is an FDA-approved injectable treatment used to eliminate facial wrinkles and glabellar lines. Jeuveau shares similarities with other popular wrinkle treatments like Botox and Dysport; namely, all three treatments use very similar neurotoxins. However, Jeuveau differs from these other facial skin treatments in several areas. For example, Jeuveau is made using a slightly different formula and tends to be less expensive than Botox or Dysport.
HOW DOES JEUVEAU WORK?
Jeuveau contains botulinum toxin type A, which is the same active ingredient found in Botox. When Jeuveau is injected, the neurotoxin stops the nerves from sending signals to the muscles. This prevents the muscles from pulling on the skin, which smooths out the wrinkles and lines in the area.
WHERE CAN JEUVEAU BE INJECTED?
Currently, Jeuveau is only FDA-approved to treat glabellar lines between the eyebrows. If you’re looking to remove forehead wrinkles, lip lines, or crow’s feet, one of the other botulinum toxin A injectables will be your best option.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE?
If you’re interested in receiving Jeuveau, the first step will be to have a consultation with our medical provider. She will use this meeting to learn about your specific goals for the procedure as well as your medical history, medications, and allergies. We will outline a plan for the procedure to ensure that you get the results you desire.
The Juveau procedure will begin with your treatment expert cleansing your face and marking the injection sites. Then, using a very thin needle, the doctor will inject the Juveau into several places around the frown lines that you’re having removed. In total, the process takes only about 15 minutes.
HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
You will be able to leave the office and go about your day immediately after your Jeuveau treatment is finished. It is suggested that you avoid strenuous exercise until at least the following day, but other than that, there’s no recovery period to worry about.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR JEUVEAU?
Men and women who would like to remove their glabellar lines and smooth out the skin between their eyebrows could be ideal candidates for Jeuveau. To qualify as a candidate for the treatment, you should meet the following requirements:
- You have realistic expectations
- You are not allergic to any ingredients in Jeuveau
- You are generally healthy

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
